County  Commissioners Always  Held  To Task  

The Commissioners of the Park have always seemed very concerned about the county’s business.  Since over a hundred and twenty years the county commissioners meetings, efforts, re-elections, recall and heated debates have been regularly covered and noted in the Flume.  It seems tempers have more control in the present.  The following notice in the Flume 1879  would probably give rise to a lawsuit  today! 

“The board of Commissioners of Park county have dug up the hatchet and are putting on war paint and if certain law books in the hands of ex-officials are not returned forthwith there will be business for the coroner.”
